A 50 year old male presents with one hour of substernal chest pressure associated with nausea and diaphoresis. He has a history of diabetes and hypertension. He had a normal EKG one month ago. What does the EKG show and what is your diagnosis?
Rate: 80 Rhythm: sinus rhythm Axis: left axis PR: 0.16 QRS: wide (0.17) ST: elevated in V2, V3, V4, and V5
EKG diagnosis: acute anterior MI
Treatment: oxygen, aspirin, nitrates, thrombolytics, beta blockers
