A 22 year old male presented to your emergency department s/p pedestrian struck.  Patient had extensive facial fractures, otherwise initial imaging were unremarkable including CT brain.  Patient was admitted for observation, and on his second day of admission, patient was found to be obtunded.  MRI of the brain revealed the image to the left.  What happened?
